Antique jars, a project and some nature

It's a beautiful day today, and I have the day off so I wanted to share some photographs with you.
This is an antique ink well.

A small cold cream jar.  It was this lid that sold me.  Look at all of the wonderful rusted colors!
I haven't decided what to "use" these 2 items for, but I look forward to displaying them somewhere in my home.

I covered a lumbar pillow in burlap.  I like how it turned out, but wanted to embellish it with something, maybe some lace?  I use this pillow on my chair in the craft room, so I don't want to get too crazy with the embellishments, but felt it needed something else.  What do you think?

Finally, I thought I'd share a couple of photographs taken by my brother-in-law at their home in Arizona.

This is a bloom from a Cholla Cactus in their yard.

Baby golden finches in the nest in an oak tree also at their home.

I'm feeling much better and wanted to say thank you for all your well wishes.
It's going to be a busy rest of the week for me, but I hope to enjoy a relaxing 3 day holiday coming up and I'll be sharing more with you then.

Hi Becca!

Glad your feeling better!
The colours in that lid are so cool.
I really like the combo of delicate lace with the burlap. Rustic meets refined.

Great photos from Arizona! I could use their heat right now.
Have a great week!

Becca, I think some antique-looking lace, like you show, would be lovely on that pillow. I love jars and glass bottles of any variety!

I really love the last crocheted lace for that pillow. I have not tried sewing burlap but I love the results! I have an old ink well on my nightstand...love it! Great photos of the cactus, too! Thank you SO much for taking the time to help me with some music today! You're a sweetheart, Becca! ♥
What lovely photos, Becca~ I particularly love the jar lid and laces...

Lovely treasures you found! Inspiring! I would do just one strip on lace off to the side on the burlap pillow, I think that would add a touch of the feminine without making it too fussy! It's gorgeous, though, I really want some of those feed sack pillows! XO!
