Autumn Leaves

Hi everyone!  Wow, I've really enjoyed reading your posts about fall, and the beautiful colors it's starting to be in your area of the country.
Fall is my favorite time of year, but where we live there's not much to see in the way of "color."
So, I thought I'd share with you some photos I took about a year ago in Washington.

You see, for me having lived in the desert all my life, just walking down a city street in Seattle in the fall was glorious!  I remember seeing all of the golden leaves everywhere I walked wanting to stop and pick one up.  It was absolutely beautiful to me.

Strolling along this street in Seattle, on our way to a football game.
(Toto, I don't think we're in Vegas anymore!)

A ferry ride from Seattle to Bainbridge Island.

Thanks for dropping by and sharing a little "fall" with me!  There's just not much here in Las Vegas that's "fall-like" right now to take new photos of.
We'll be heading back up to Seattle in November for my birthday, so hopefully I can get some new photos then.
I look forward to seeing more of your colorful fall posts!

Enjoy your day!
Becca

Beautiful photos Becca I can see why you love Seattle.
Here in Canada Thanksgiving is in October so i have to say it is my favourite holiday. I love to take a walk on Thanksgiving morning with my family in the country while the turkey is cooking!

I have to go take some fall photos, we had a stressful week that has prevented me from doing this. Today is warm and full of colour so I am off to take photos of our Valley!

Those leaves are all so beautiful...wow. Our leaves haven't started changing anything close to that yet. But I can't wait!

Wow! Gorgeous photos Becca.
I know what you mean about lack of color, but you know, I'd take the color and warmth of summer any day, over what's to come here!

Those are some of the most beautiful photos! We do not have any color yet...but the mountains of NC can be some of the most beautiful mountains in the Fall! ♥

Hi Becca...those colors are beautiful. I'll be going to Seattle mid-October and really look forward to seeing what you are enjoying. We just don't see the brilliant reds and golds here in Louisiana. Not enough cold nights this time of year.

this is the most beautiful post I've seen in a long time. I too lived in the desert for decades and I'm completely in love with autumn here in Virginia. Will be another month before things are in full autumn colors. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful photos of fall colour. The reds, oranges, golds and rusts always make me smile. I am always in awe of the change. Take care.

Oh Becca...I'm drooling over those photos. I have never lived anywhere other than SoCal. Fall in Seattle is just beautiful. I especially love the one with the train in it. Patty

Yes it is lovely to see the colors of autumn, we don't get those bright colors in Northern CA. either and I miss them. Thank you for bringing a little bit of fall into my life today.

Oh, it's just beautiful! Actually, it looks like this was a better year in Seattle than we're having this year, here, in Vermont. This year is so strange with the drought! And,.....you got it! You got the photo that I keep trying to get but it doesn't ever seem to work out - the leaves on the ground in the beautiful grass!

Very inspiring for me to keep trying. Thanks!

Love, Katy
