She got to wear her patina crown

Hi everyone, boy am I glad the weekend is here!
I finally finished this fabric art collage I've been working on for a while.  I put it away for some time because I wasn't satisfied with how it was turning out, so I just picked it up again and made some changes, and now I'm more happy with the results.
The vintage photograph was sent to me by my father in law, and I believe the little girl in the center is his mother.

Thank you dear friends for all the sweet comments you leave me.
I'll be back soon with more goodies.
Happy Weekend!
Becca

I think this piece is really rich and fabulous, Becca not to mention how great the photos of it are! The turquoise/patina highlights really set it off. I know how it is to abandon these sorts of projects. It seems to happen to me much more with my mixed media and collage than with my jewelry designing. I just cut up a piece that I started last year and now that I've abbreviated it I like it much better.

you have been a busy bee stitching and embellishing, I think the thing is to have fun with it don't you? I think all the gold and rich colours make it look very opulent and regal~ I should think your Granny would approve

Such a beautiful collage Becca, I love the added stitching around the people in the photo, and everything just looks so well put together :) I often have to put things aside too when I am not happy with them and come back later.
