Winter Break Happenings

Mr Sun decided to show his face for a little

while today.

And...

I've been just like a little kid that won't take off my new rain boots.

I've had more fun with crochet lately.

I've also enjoyed using pieces of nature to help me wrap some special gifts.

It was fun to step outside into the rain with my shears to trim

off a little decoration or two. :-)

There's just something warm and comforting about

crocheting in the winter.

This was the season for my

Star Garland,

and Star Fish!

Are you ready to start a new year?

Will you be starting off your New Year with a celebration,

or a cozy nap?

I'm kind of like Shatzie here and plan to just stay warm and cozy.

Even though Mr. Sun came out to play today, I'm pretty sure

Old Man Winter plans to

stick around for a while.

These next few days I'm going to take a look back,

have a few laughs,  shake my head at all the craziness and

mostly, just be thankful.

A fresh, New Year is just around the corner!

Sending good wishes to you!

Becca

So many cute things here! Well especially snoozing kitty! :)
We don't usually get too crazy on New Years. Mostly movie watching and relaxing. If I'm lucky, supper out so I don't have to cook. ;)
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and an awesome 2013!!!
xo Catherine
I love your new boots! We're getting a shower right now and we can sure use it! I love the starfish garland. Is it something I could make...I'm a beginner! Holiday hugs!

Your crochet work is always so beautiful, Becca!
We did not have any rain, but we sure had lots of snow. Now if the wind would just calm down so I could get out there with my camera.

Shatzie is just precious!

Have a great weekend.
xo.

Your dressed up packages are too pretty to open. And your crochet just keeps getting better and better. Everything is so lovely. We never do anything for the new years -- definitely will be tucked away, warm and cozy in bed, long before midnite. :) Wishing you a wonderful new year, Tammy

Becca, it does my gardeners heart such good to see something, anything blooming, and not covered in snow.

Was that primrose for real? LOL.

I love the starfish garland, ah...so beautiful.

Beautiful crochet work. I love the star garland. I've really been wanting to learn how to crochet. It seems like a great activity that can be taken with you anywhere. I love the natural embellishments on your gifts and cute rain boots. :) Happy New Year!

This post was like wrapping up in a warm blanket, with hot chocolate at the ready! Thank you for these gentle, lovely vignettes. Happy Days ((HUGS)) P.S. Do you have a pattern to link to for those crocheted "flowers" about half-way through your post? I've been looking for something similar to expand my new crochet skills. :o)
