A rare, and beautiful site in the desert.
I took a short drive to the desert right behind my home.
Most of the earlier snow was already melting, but once I got out of my car
there was something calming about walking around this vast desert area, alone with my camera, taking photos of this rarity.
The atmosphere was peaceful, tranquil and serene. The crisp air felt good to me, it was like new and fresh.
The only sound I noticed was the "crunching" of the desert floor beneath my boots and the sweet sound of my camera shutter.
Here is a link if you are interested in some footage of our snow in Las Vegas
It's been hard getting back to work after such a restful two weeks off, but I'm hoping to get caught up with all of you over the weekend sometime.
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Kisses, Zondra Art
It does make for good pictures though doesn't it? Fantastic Becca!
when i was a kid the first time i saw snow was on the strip in las vegas! no joke :) i even have a picture of me making a snowman!
But sometimes I think that surprise snow in an arean not known for it is so much prettier.
I really love your pictures.
I remember feeling the same way when I lived in Vegas, I was in love with norther Ca and trees and green things and art. Seattle will be a wonderous place! I personally love Seattle xx's
I have so many questions about it.
It is nice to see that it has been untouched and not developed by subdivisions. Are you able to walk in the desert and what type of wild life lurks around?
And as always you have choosen the perfect music for this post!!!
All of these are just gorgeous!
Becca, these pictures are so beautiful! You inspired me to get Photoshop, and now I just have to get my operating system upgraded on Monday and then I will be able to try a few things - next stop - a new camera. One thing at a time though as my brain seems to be able to process only so much at a time.
Thanks for sharing these, once again, you've given me another dose of inspiration!
