Pasta!

Hello friends, 

I'm here today to show you some fun photographs I took of my 

neighbor teaching her friend how to make pasta ravioli.


I've had Anna Maria's homemade ravioli before, and it's fabulous! 


So, I was very excited to have the opportunity to see the process 

first hand and share it with you! 





She makes it look so easy and wanted me to give it a try, but I decided 

to stick to just being the photographer for now. :-) 



It didn't take long before Anna's friend had it down.

Are those ravioli? I LOVE ravioli or pretty much any pasta for that matter. Never tried to make it from scratch but it looks like fun! Thanks for sharing!!

Oh, that looks so delicious, Becca! Yum!!! I've never made pasta myself, but it seems to be fun! At least from behind the camera ;-)

BIG YUM... and such fun! This was inspiring to see. We used to have a pasta machine, but we unloaded it when we moved some time ago as we didn't use it nearly enough, and kitchen storage is at a premium where we are now. Suddenly I want to have a go making pasta again...LOL! Nothing so good as homemade, handmade pasta...mmm.... Happy Week, Becca ((HUGS))

This is wonderful, Becca, and how lucky you were to be able to photograph it.

I have actually made ravioli quite a few times, and it i s definitely a labor of love, but there is nothing quite like it!

Wow the pasta looked like such perfection! The ravioli especially looked amazing. It looks like there was some sort of tray she used. I didn't know anything like that existed. Great photos Becca!

Watercolor on Tea Bags

Hello Friends!  Hope you are enjoying your weekend, especially  if this is a long weekend for you!  It seems like I've been drinking a lot of tea lately, so I  thought it was time to get out my tea bags  and get creative!  This is a mixed-media piece on watercolor paper. First, I tore pieces of the tea bags and glued them to the  watercolor paper to start my background. This is another piece I started just today where I decided to use a rubber stamp before applying the tea bags for added interest.  I love the color and texture the tea bags create.  After the background was dry, I started to sketch out my design.   The dragonfly is a rubber stamp. The Art of A Rain Chain

"Art"   is probably not the first word that comes to mind for most people when it rains.  If you have ever seen a  Rain Chain   then maybe you'll understand why I think of it this way.  copper, metal, patina, design, texture, beauty... peaceful,  mesmerizing... It's a Crochet Thing….

Hi friends!   Well, I said I'd be back with some crochet stuff I've been working on,  I just didn't think it would take me so long.  So, I found this cute coaster pattern on line that uses "jute"  and yarn. They were easy to make, and the yarn adds so much to them,  don't you think?   Look at the back, I think even the back looks interesting!  Click  HERE  for the link if you want to make these.  I've been working on this afghan for a while now.  I love it because the squares have been pretty  easy to make even while watching TV.  The colors remind me of the blue hydrangeas I love so much!  Finally, I've been going nuts about adding crocheted edgings on things.  I made a couple of tea towels for gifts, and I'm still  working on more of these.  Don't you just love ticking fabric?  Well, there ya ha...
