Wishful Thinking

Dreaming of autumn,

wishing for cooler temperatures to arrive while

(Seattle)

staying indoors drinking iced coffee. :-)

What are you wishing for this weekend?

Sending thoughts and prayers out to those of you on the east coast affected by hurricane Irene.

Thank you for your sweet and encouraging comments on my latest artful journey into sketching.
Still practicing and having fun!

Lovely Leaves, Adorable Cats. Fall is in the air in Iowa. Just unpacked a few Fall decor items, while cleaning out my storage area. How does one accumulate so much? Have a wonderful weekend.

Love those kitty photos, Becca. It's starting to feel like fall here; the spiders are out, spinning their webs! We're going to a wedding on Whidbey IS. and hoping to make the ferry without too long a wait.....

The cooler weather is coming, I promise. It is going to be lovely here this weekend. So nice not to be in a hot and humid steam bath for once! I love your sweet kitty. Is that Fetzer or Shatzie? I'm sorry I can't remember which one is which.

Oh, but my thoughts are turned homeward Stateside, as so many of my family & friend are along the east coast. :o/ It's a deluge of rain here in southern Norway this weekend. So we are planning on staying in with creative projects. You ginger kitty is so much like our Charlie. I must get some kitty-cat photos up at my new blog. ;o) LOVE your cat mug--love it! Thank you for your VERY kind thoughts on my new painting. I've getting braver in sharing what's happening in my little studio--it's fun too. Happy weekend, Becca ((HUGS))

This weekend I am wishing for a whole day in my sewing room to create whatever I want... haven't had that in a very long time. Summer heat hit at the beginning of August and is with us still - the yard and work have taken up so much time! I think I am getting excited for Fall!!!
As always your photos take center stage. They are delightful. Right now I'm hoping for temperatures under 98 F for the next day or so. Hope your weather is cooler than mine.

Speaking of the weather...I was just noticing something quite interesting on my walk, today.

Yesterday, I noticed that the leaves look tarnished and the woods were well worn but it was, still, late summer. The nip was in the air, last night, and, today, I wore my wool sweater, almost all day. brrrrrr! Thing is, tonight, on my walk - there were a few leaves that were definitely Colorful colors. Already! I can't believe it.

I'll get around to a post about Hurricane Irene. she kind of knocked us for a loop, around here!
What precious cats you have....look at those lovely light green eyes...I love red cats:) well, I never met a cat I did not like let´s put it that way. They always seem to find me no matter where I live.
