Down by the Seashore

Hi Everyone!

We're back from our wonderful and most memorable anniversary trip

to some of Washington's beautiful shore line.

(totally loving my new cap here that says

"Got Rain?"

Olympic National Park)

This was the view from our room at the

We went on so many great hikes to the surrounding beaches.

My new beach hiking sandals were perfect

for hiking and beach combing.

I'm not sure I could pick out a favorite beach, they were all so

unique and lovely!

Sometimes it felt like we were the only people in this beautiful place.

This desert born girl hasn't really done a lot of beach combing,

so, I felt like one of those kids you see at the aquariums

running around and touching everything!

Everywhere you looked it was something new and exciting!

Such a pretty little shell these guys have.

I couldn't wait to tell you about my most memorable discovery.

A piece of sea glass!

I've heard of people finding this stuff all the time.

Finding sea glass was something that's been on my bucket list for

a long time now.

(of course it probably helps that I no longer live in the desert)

How special that I found it here in Washington, on our anniversary!

I'm not great at making jewelry, but don't you think it would make

a pretty pendant?

All I had at the time was my iPhone, but I'm so glad I got a photo of it

how I saw it on the beach.

I will never forget this moment or this beach.

Thank you for the anniversary wishes!

I'll be by soon to catch up!

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Becca

What a wonderful trip you've had. The first photo looks like you are standing on glass, lovely. I really want to find some sea glass too and I think yours would look lovely as a pendant and it'll be a permanent reminder of your happy anniversary break. Lovely photos! x

Sounds like a lovely trip, Becca! I'll bet the folks that are having roasting temperatures couldn't believe you in your jacket. We've yet to explore that part of WA, but your photos make me want to. So glad you found the sea glass! Oh and a very happy anniversary a bit late!

So nice to be able to explore without throngs of people around. Sounds like you had a fabulous time. I've found a few pieces of beach glass here and have thought about making a pendant necklace with them. I'm sure you could make something wonderful with that pretty piece of aqua glass. Have a great week. Tammy
