Sea, Sky, Stone

Hi Friends!
Wow, time sure seems to be getting away from me lately.
I can't believe I will be moving to the Pacific Northwest in about a month!

It's been such a battle for me knowing I need to "pack up" but my creative side keeps screaming paint, sketch, sew!

Sew So, what's a girl to do?
 Make a bracelet, of course!

I keep seeing these beautiful wrap bracelets and my favorites are the ones by
Have you seen them?  I would love to have several of them, but at $200.00 plus I just can't see spending that right now.

When I was a teenager growing up, I would buy something like...jeans with pre-made holes,  costume jewelry, hair accessories, etc.  and I'll always remember my dad teasing me...
"I could've made that for you!"

Well dad,
you must have rubbed off on me because now I find myself saying that all the time!

I decided to find some beads that "spoke to me."

I wanted something to wear... everyday...while getting ready to move...something to remind me of the excitement...of my future, the "new" natural environment...

I spent a little more at a "bead store" for these beads than a craft store, but couldn't resist the texture and color.

Sea, Sky, Stone

We had rain today...I love that...
Seems I'm overcome with emotion lately...is it the upcoming move?
So much going on...
So much to be thankful for...

I'm so glad you're here...
thank you friends...

Beautiful bracelet Becca! I love visiting your blog and seeing the lovely things you create!

I hope your move goes well, and yes I expect the emotional ups and downs are all part of it. I remember being full of excitement at the prospect of my new life here in Northern Ontario one minute and totally bereft at the thought of leaving my family the next!

xx

The bracelet is gorgeous, I love the colors. At least you are getting closer to your move, so all the hard work will be over soon. Having a new place can be very exciting as long as you don't let the process wear you down.

Aaaah Becca that bracelet is just gorgeous. I love all the detailed photos and I guess just by looking I could get my bum into gear and make one of these. I always say that too to myself You can do that but I am not sure who started that off. It could be both my mum and dad ad they were both very creative.

Big transitions, big emotions, beautiful beads to carry you through. Love this. Somehow I thought those wrap beads got sewn through the leather cord. You make this look so simple! As always my friend. xox

GORGEOUS beads, I couldn't have resisted those either...beads stores are a weakness! I have some beads set aside to have a go at one of those wrap bracelets to. I see so many I like, but can't afford. So we make do and make our own fab creations, don't we?! ;o) LOVE, love, love how your bracelet turned out...such rich color, textures and variety of materials. SUPER creation! Hope all goes well these last week as you make ready for your brilliant new life in Seattle ((HUGS))

Your bracelet is beautiful Becca! I love the colours, the sand, sea and sky thing - so cool.
I find myself saying that a lot about many things but more often than not I don't get around to it. There are just too many things to try!!
This next month will be a whirlwind for you - I wish you all the best for your move and hope that you land well in Seattle soon!
You, my dear, are naturally talented and creative! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that bracelet. The colors are absolutely gorgeous! Wishing you all the best as you count down the days! Blessings, Tammy
This is just beautiful...just the type of jewelry I love to wear. I've been telling myself for years that I would not try to make jewelry. I don't need more tools and supplies for another project...but oh, I am drooling over this! Off to follow the link...and drool some more! Hugs!
