A Beautiful Place...
Hello friends!
This week I was fortunate enough to get to join my hubby at a conference he is attending.
We are at the
on the Hood Canal in Washington.
We were here back in May for another conference and enjoyed it so much!
This time, the weather is warmer, so there are more boats around. Also, many activities on the
water as well as outdoor places to grab a bite to eat.
When I was out walking on the dock around dusk last night, I saw what I first thought was
bats flying around. As it turns out, it was many little birds! Swallows, I believe they are.
Aren't they cute?
Just look at their sweet, little faces !
Not the greatest shots, but I just had to show you how cute they were all
huddled up together under the eve of the boat shack.
(look at the 2nd one from the left leaning on his big sister...no, I don't know if they're male or female...I just think it sounds cute.))
One little guy started to get his feathers all ruffled and seemed to
disturb the others.
See, they're looking at him, like...what the heck? We're trying to stay warm here!
I'm going back out tonight just to watch them again.
The water has been so lovely and peaceful.
Nice places to sit and work on my thread crochet or read a book.
I hope whatever you are doing this week, you too, have some time to just sit, relax and
simply enjoy nature and your surroundings for a bit.
See you this weekend!
Becca

Have fun!
I love swallows...we call them barn swallows here. They make mud nests beneath bridges on the river and they are so fun to watch. There are hundreds of them. Your photos of them turned out great!!
