"We love the things we love, for what they are" (Robert Frost)

I was reading blogs today, and over at
www.rebeccasower.typepad.com,
Rebecca did a post on some of the things she loves "for what they are."
She suggested others do a blog post about the things they love "for what they are."  That got me thinking,  so I thought I'd join in.
Here are a few things I love just "for what they are."

Fresh mint I grew,  just for some sun tea in the summertime, and things like...

...a cherished photograph of my Mother when she was a little girl,
and things like...

...a BFF that's there for you on your wedding day,
and things like...

...the cute little paws of one of my cats, ( I like to call them rabbit toes)...

...my other cat sleeping on the quilt I made for her,
and like...

...a blackberry cobbler I learned to make from one of Mom's old recipes,
and things like...

...a perfect leaf from an oak tree.

So, what are some of the things you love,  for what they are?

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love the things you selected, for "the things you love , for what they are". I'm going to have to answer that question on my blog.

Thanks so much for playing along! Love your beautiful photos.
What a wonderful post...I just might hop on the bandwagon...I love the face of a sleeping baby, the way they fit just right in the crook of you neck and nibbling on those perfect little toes...and things like that.

I love the cat toes and the snuggly cat. I love when my bad boy cat snuggles with my german shepherd...priceless! If only i could get a good photo of this. I keep trying!

Beautiful photo of you as a bride with your BFF!

This is a lovely entry! I love celebrating the little things we have to be thankful for.

Right now I love fresh pineapple orange juice, the fact that there is sunshine outside, even though it's so cold, and my husband--who I'm about to go enjoy the sunshine with.

Happy weekend!

So many beautiful things and people in your post today Becca!! And how gorgeous you are ~ look at that smile ~ you look like you are the happiest girl in the world.

One of my most favourite things that I love for what they are ~ animals. Their unconditional love. Is there anything better then unconditional love? hmmm.... nope... :)

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend friend!

Becca,
What a wonderful collection of photos you chose. Love the picture of your sweet Mommy, oh I'd use that picture for so much art work if it were mine@!! You & your BFF look soooo happy too. Nothing beats that wedding day. And the Inn in your previous post. I'm from the Bay Area & go back every other year, I'm saving that post in my reference file. Lisa
