What's New?

Hello friends,

Gosh, I hate it when I get behind on blogging!

I've just been staying busy and sometimes I don't

always take the time to use my "big girl camera" and I just snap off

shots on my iPhone.  How lazy is that? :-)

Anyway, it's great to get back to my blog!

These beautiful, blue hydrangeas belong to our neighbor, Camille.

I must say, we are SO fortunate to live in a fun neighborhood with such

great neighbors all around!

How's your summer so far?  Well, technically it's not quite summer yet,

is it?  I guess it feels like summer to me since we've been enjoying summer like

temperatures already! (summer weather usually starts in July for Seattle.)

In fact, I'm kind of wondering if it's ever going to rain again! Lol

This is a new shepherds hook we bought that will keep

the squirrels at bay.  I love seeing squirrels around, I just don't want

them eating up all of the bird food!

Now I have a great place to hang my favorite copper moon feeder,

and Lucy can see it from her favorite spot on the chair by the window.

Oh, and for those of you that know how crazy I am about crochet, well,

I finally decided it was time to see if I could learn how to knit!

I'm very impatient when it comes to learning new things.

I'm still feeling clumsy with knitting, and only at the very beginning stages,

but I keep reminding myself, that I felt the same way when I started to crochet.

So, I'll keep practicing...just don't expect any sweaters by Christmas! :-)

I found some lovely outdoor fabric for 50% off and recovered a couple of

pillows for our deck chairs.

I'm happy with how they turned out, and I think they'll be a nice addition

to our "mix & match" patterns this summer. :-)

Here's sweet little Shatzie, she likes to be close when I'm at the computer.

Well, so long for now, I'm off to enjoy a "cold brew" in

one of my favorite mugs!

Oh, and if you'd like, remember you can follow me on Instragram

I'd love to see you over there too!

Thanks for dropping by,

Becca

I always love coming to visit your blog! You always add such yummy photos! I've also been amazed at our awesome weather so far. It's been a long time since I remember having such beautiful weather for such a long stretch before the first day of spring!!!!!

There is something about those blue hydrangeas isn't there. My favorite too. I also like the Annabelle white mop heads and the oakleaf varieties. I might be too sunny here for them, but discovered our front yard bush is a mock orange which smells divine. Your color palette is always so pretty whether it's knitting or crochet...yum yum. Gorgeous kitty showing off. xox

Love that moon/birdfeeder and had no idea there was birdseed in it; I just thought it was decorative!
I'm sure you will be knitting away in no time. It just didn't make sense to me and I'm very impatient as I want to make something then and there. Everything sure is looking lovely and sparkly clean where you are. So dusty and hot here. Enjoy your day. Tammy

It looks like you're doing very nicely with the knitting, Becca!
I just love those blue hydrangeas. Ours should be blooming in a few weeks.
So nice to see you here, and I am glad that you are doing well, and enjoying a wonderful summer.

I love that moon bird feeder and your owl tea cup Becca! Shatzie is looking very fluffy and sweet.
It's been crazy dry here in Southwest Saskatchewan. We could use a few days of rain!
Hope you are doing well and that you are having a wonderful June my friend!

Hydrangeas are my favorite flower! I was thinking about you today and hoping you are having a good summer so far and making some pretty things. Sweet hugs, Diane

The flowers are beautiful...and I love that moon bird feeder. I, too, am a crocheter who is just now learning to knit. Stick with it! It really does get easier as you go along.

Hello Becca,
I saw your blog on my friend's blog. You have so many pretty pictures, and I noticed the hydrangeas up above. You know, I never gave much thought to the hydrangeas until I saw them all around my blog friend's homes. I see that you love Photography. I also love Photography, and Frank Sinatra is a favorite of mine, with Moon River being up on the list. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would certainly come back and follow you as well. Your blog is filled with simplicity and beauty, two things which I appreciate. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

oh, and thank you for the pop-up comments. They are so much easier to comment with, and wish more of my blog friends had them. :~)
