What gorgeous photos! I came over from Cat's blog. She mentioned you live in Las Vegas and I will be making my first visit there in May! I'm a new follower of your blog! Hugs, Linda
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself. Your blog is gorgeous - these flowers have me swooning and eagerly looking forward to summer here in Wisconsin.
I'm also looking forward to reading more about you in the future!
Beautiful! Are these all in your yard? I love those fluffy yellow ones in the box with the white flowers. Do you know what they are? You are going to love gardening in Seattle!
Hello Friends! Hope you are enjoying your weekend, especially if this is a long weekend for you! It seems like I've been drinking a lot of tea lately, so I thought it was time to get out my tea bags and get creative! This is a mixed-media piece on watercolor paper. First, I tore pieces of the tea bags and glued them to the watercolor paper to start my background. This is another piece I started just today where I decided to use a rubber stamp before applying the tea bags for added interest. I love the color and texture the tea bags create. After the background was dry, I started to sketch out my design. The dragonfly is a rubber stamp. Finally, a little simple hand stitching on linen for added texture. "Art" is probably not the first word that comes to mind for most people when it rains. If you have ever seen a Rain Chain then maybe you'll understand why I think of it this way. copper, metal, patina, design, texture, beauty... peaceful, mesmerizing... If you've read my blog for some time, you might remember, this "desert girl" is fascinated with rain chains. :-) I'm still traveling...Seattle...it's raining... I'm sharing my Rain Chain Art this week at Lisa Gordon's Creative Exchange I have been reading and enjoying your comments. When I'm back home, I will have more time to visit and get caught up with you. Hope your week is off to a great start! Becca
Hi friends! Well, I said I'd be back with some crochet stuff I've been working on, I just didn't think it would take me so long. So, I found this cute coaster pattern on line that uses "jute" and yarn. They were easy to make, and the yarn adds so much to them, don't you think? Look at the back, I think even the back looks interesting! Click HERE for the link if you want to make these. I've been working on this afghan for a while now. I love it because the squares have been pretty easy to make even while watching TV. The colors remind me of the blue hydrangeas I love so much! Finally, I've been going nuts about adding crocheted edgings on things. I made a couple of tea towels for gifts, and I'm still working on more of these. Don't you just love ticking fabric? Well, there ya ha...
