Where were you this weekend?

Image
Well, the truth is, I was really home in Las Vegas all weekend. It was a nice, eventful weekend, but not exactly where my mind was. So for now, "live" in the Pacific Northwest with me and enjoy the journey!

Finding a little Fall

Image
Seattle, Washington Well, I guess my last post was a little premature since it's supposed to hit the triple digits again this weekend. Oh how I long for fall! Since I had a little time this morning I thought I'd post a quick photo of one of our favorite places to visit, Seattle, Washington. I think right now, this is where my heart is.

It's starting to get cooler

Finally, a beautiful day for spending outdoors. It was only in the 80's today and it felt wonderful! A perfect day for some tennis and reading in the garden. This is a vintage metal shell back chair I found in Oregon. This chair reminds me of summer vacations traveling to the south with my parents. I remember some of the little country motels having chairs like this outside each room. Blackberry Cobbler Finally, I couldn't resist finishing up the day with a little Blackberry Cobbler. Yum! Thanks for visiting!

Artistic Challenge

Image
This is a pillow I made for a fun and artistic challenge over at www.mind-wideopen.blogspot.com The image is provided and you can create anything you like as long as you use the image they've selected for the month. It was fun to see what everyone created with this one image. If you get a chance pop on over to www.mind-wideopen.blogspot.com and vote for your favorite, lots of beautiful entries! I had fun and look forward to another challenge.

Some creative time

This weekend I found myself getting out an old project I started last Christmas and never finished! It was relaxing to do a little stitching by hand...maybe that's what takes me so long? We'll see if I can finish it in time for the holidays this year. Other than that I was in a "sewing mood" and finished some colorful surgical caps for my friends at work. "Thanks girls for being my beautiful models." Hope everyone had a safe and happy Labor Day weekend!
