Crocheted Stones and a Walk to the Water

I'm excited to tell you, I FINALLY learned how to crochet a stone!

I have been mesmerized with the whole crocheted stone thing for a while now, so I am so thrilled.  But, I only know how to do this one pattern, so I'll have to keep practicing!
My blog friend, Tammy
has also been crocheting sea stones.  They are addicting once you get started!

It's a beautiful, sunny warm day today, so I decided to go for a walk down to the water to photograph my sea stones.

These pink peonies were in someone's yard, aren't they gorgeous?

This is a great walk from our house and with the hills, maybe I'll get myself into shape!

I found a little path to walk along.

One with nature.

When I got down to the water, the first thing I noticed was this little feather.
It made me think of another blog friend, Becky Shander
She often uses beautiful feathers in her art.

When I lived in Las Vegas, the only feathers I ever saw was from a pigeon...and I just never got inspired by a pigeon feather. :-)

Here's another thing I just adore here...
The Dogwood trees.

My mother loved these trees, so it makes me smile whenever I see one.

Thanks for sharing my little walk today.
I'm still trying to get things done around the house, but who wants to do laundry on a day like today?
The laundry will still be there tomorrow...when it's raining. :-)

I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Such a lovely stroll...thank you for sharing it. That looks like Japanese Boxwood, only in sort of a grass form around the peony. Interesting.

You did great on your crocheted stones!

I miss the dogwoods also...funny how you don't realize it until someone has a stunning photo of them on their blog...hint hint.

You must just be loving this area, the beach, the hills, the scenery.

It's one beautiful place.

OMG Becca, your stones are spectacular, as is your walk. What a beautiful spot you picked to live, it is so YOU! xox
Hey Becca, your stones turned out great! And I love the way you photographed them. Beautiful! Thanks for the mention. Your area for walking is so much prettier than mine (though I do try to make my surroundings look a whole lot nicer than it might be in actuality). I know for sure your temperature is a whole lot better. :) Guess what! I picked up a white feather yesterday, too. It's from a chicken. On my walk two days ago, I picked up a pigeon feather. they will be worked into my walking journal if I ever get it started. Have a great day! Tammy

I'm jealous - you live in such a beautiful place. It's not always safe for us to walk around in SA, so you are really lucky to be able to go for walks.
