Water, Paper, Paint

I love working in my Moleskine journal.

It's what I've been gravitating to lately...just to sketch.

Although the papers are not meant for wet media I added watercolor.

There's something just so simple and satisfying about adding water to paint.

...a simple sketch

...with simple color.

I'm heading outside,  it's been so beautiful here!

Oh, and I am loving this Book
It was the kind of read that makes you miss the characters when you are done.

What have you been reading?

I'll see you Friday with bright colors to share.

Until then...
Becca

Hello Becca,
The subtlety of this journal page is just lovely. It is peaceful and thoughtful. A lovely sketch.
Your book looks good - I shall look out for it.
I am reading Cara Massimina by Tim Parkes.

Beautiful Becca, This artwork has a Japanese geisha feel about it, so pretty.

I'm reading a non-fiction book at the moment, well several, about portrait painting in oils.

Your review on 'Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet' makes me think about picking up a novel and getting lost in the pages.

Happy Creating.

Becca (you're going to kill me for this!), but I went back in your blog to some of your early sketches. You my friend, are becoming a truly amazing artist.

Those flowers quite resemble the plum blossoms that are everywhere right now. Nice work! I'm reading The Hare with the Amber Eyes and just finished The Beekeeper's Apprentice whic is a fun read.

These blossoms are beautiful. I love the Moleskine as well. I sometimes gesso the pages so they stand up better to wet media. Hugs xx

I love the beauty and simplicity of this sketch. She is lovely. I have a new moleskine watercolor journal, but I have gotten enough courage to use it yet.
Hi Becca, Lovely painting. So soft and dreamy. I have finished reading a book called Bo's Cafe, a wonderful read. Take care and have a great Easter weekend.
